There was a time when I believed success meant having one great career.
For me, that career was real estate. I built a business I’m incredibly proud of, helped hundreds of people buy and sell homes, met amazing clients, and created opportunities I never imagined when I first started. Real estate changed my life.
But over the last few years, something shifted.
I realized I didn’t want my entire financial future tied to one income source, one industry, or one location. I didn’t want every dollar I earned to depend on where I happened to be standing.
More importantly, I started thinking differently about what success actually looks like.
Today, success isn’t just about making more money. It’s about building more freedom.
Freedom to spend more time with my kids.
Freedom to travel without feeling like my business completely stops the moment I leave town.
Freedom to work from a coffee shop in Philadelphia one week and somewhere along the coast of Portugal the next.
Freedom to choose how I spend my days instead of having my calendar choose for me.
That’s why Brett Built This exists.
This website isn’t about pretending I’ve figured everything out. It’s about documenting what I’m building in real time—the wins, the mistakes, the experiments, and everything I learn along the way.
I’m building multiple income streams because I believe the world has changed. Technology has opened doors that didn’t exist even a few years ago. AI, social media, affiliate marketing, digital products, YouTube, brand partnerships, online education, and content creation have made it possible for ordinary people to create businesses that aren’t tied to a single office or a single paycheck.
I’m fascinated by that.
So instead of wondering “what if,” I’ve decided to start building.
Some ideas will work.
Some will fail.
Some will surprise me.

I’m still a Realtor, and I love helping people navigate one of the biggest decisions of their lives. That isn’t changing. But I also know that relying on commission alone isn’t the future I want to build for myself or my family.
I want income that works while I’m sleeping.
I want businesses that can grow while I’m on vacation.
I want opportunities that allow me to create from anywhere with nothing more than a laptop, a camera, and an internet connection.
Most of all, I want to design a life that gives me choices.
That doesn’t mean I’m chasing “easy money.” Quite the opposite.
Everything I’m building requires work, consistency, creativity, and patience. There are no shortcuts. There are no secret formulas. There are plenty of late nights, failed ideas, and moments when I wonder if something is worth continuing.
But that’s part of building.
Over the coming months and years, you’ll see me explore every corner of this journey. I’ll share how I’m growing as a content creator, building digital products, experimenting with affiliate marketing, working with brands, using AI to work smarter, launching new business ideas, and creating systems that can generate income beyond my day job.
I’ll also tell you when something doesn’t work.
I think there’s value in seeing the whole journey, not just the highlight reel.
Too many people online only show the finished product. They rarely talk about the dozens of projects that failed before one finally succeeded. I think those stories matter just as much because they’re the ones we can actually learn from.
