Life didn’t go as planned… it’s better.
If you had asked me a few years ago what this chapter of my life would look like, I would’ve painted a very different picture.
My kids were grown. One was 21, the other 19. The years of diapers, bedtime stories, school pickups, hockey games, and sleepless nights had become memories. Looking back, it all happened faster than I ever imagined.
Like most parents, I spent years counting down to milestones. The first day of school. Learning to drive. Graduation. Moving into their own place. When you’re in the middle of raising kids, those moments feel like they’re a lifetime away. Then one day you wake up and they’re adults.
I honestly believed I had closed the parenting chapter of my life.
The truth is… I was a little sad about it.
Not because I wanted to go back and relive every sleepless night or every diaper change, but because I genuinely loved being a dad. Those years shaped me more than anything else ever has. Watching my kids grow into adults is something I’ll always be proud of, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss having little ones around.
I thought my next chapter would look very different.
I pictured traveling more. Growing my businesses. Creating content. Spending more time exploring Philadelphia, taking weekend trips, trying new restaurants, and checking places off my travel bucket list. I was excited about what came next, even if it looked completely different from the previous twenty years.
I had no idea life had different plans.
Building a Different Life
If you’ve landed here from social media, you might know me from a few different places.
Maybe you know me as a Philadelphia Realtor.
Maybe you’ve listened to my podcast.
Maybe you’ve watched one of my videos about Philadelphia neighborhoods, restaurants, or real estate.
Or maybe you’re here because you saw some guy on TikTok joking that he thought he had retired from the Target baby aisle.
The truth is, I’ve worn a lot of different hats throughout my life.
Before real estate, I went to law school and spent time working as a prosecutor. Eventually I found a career I genuinely loved helping people buy and sell homes throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs.
Over the years I also discovered another passion: creating.
I started a podcast.
I became fascinated by social media.
I fell in love with storytelling, entrepreneurship, and building businesses online.
Not because I wanted to become famous.
Because I love connecting with people.
I love making someone laugh.
I love sharing something useful.
I’ve learned that the most ordinary stories are often the ones people connect with the most.
Then I Met Someone Who Changed Everything
Life has a funny way of introducing new chapters when you least expect them.
I met an incredible woman.
She came with an amazing four-year-old daughter who quickly became part of my life.
Watching the two of them together reminded me of something I hadn’t experienced in years.
Tiny shoes by the front door.
Bedtime routines.
Children’s laughter filling the house.
The simple little moments that are easy to overlook when you’re living them, but impossible to forget once they’re gone.
Then one day we found out something neither of us expected.
We were having a baby together.
I’ll be honest.
For a few moments I just sat there trying to process it.
Not because I wasn’t excited.
Because I truly believed that chapter of my life had already been written.
Apparently…
there was another chapter waiting.
Starting Over
People hear the phrase “starting over” and usually assume something went wrong.
For me, it feels like life giving me another opportunity.
Yes, I laugh at myself.
I hadn’t walked down the baby aisle in years.
I had already donated or thrown away every piece of baby gear I owned.
I couldn’t tell you what half the products on the shelves even did.
Apparently babies have apps now.
Baby monitors connect to your phone.
Formula makers practically make bottles for you.
Strollers somehow cost more than my first car.
Everything has changed.
Including me.
The biggest difference isn’t the technology.
It’s perspective.
When I became a dad the first time, I worried about everything.
Was I making enough money?
Was I doing enough?
Was I making the right decisions?
Like a lot of young parents, I spent so much time trying to get everything right that I didn’t always slow down enough to appreciate how quickly those years were passing.
This time feels different.
I’m still going to make mistakes.
I’m still going to learn.
But I know something now that I didn’t fully understand twenty years ago.
Time is the one thing you never get back.
Why I’m Sharing This Journey
People have asked why I’m documenting all of this online.
The answer is simple.
Because I think a lot of us are figuring life out as we go.
Maybe your story isn’t becoming a dad again.
Maybe you’re changing careers.
Starting a business.
Getting divorced.
Finding love later in life.
Planning your next adventure.
Or simply realizing that life rarely follows the plan you made years ago.
That’s okay.

I don’t have all the answers.
I’m not trying to become the internet’s parenting expert.
I’m simply inviting you along while I figure it out.
Welcome to Fatherhood 2.0
I started calling this chapter Fatherhood 2.0 because that’s exactly what it feels like.
Not a do-over.
Not a replacement.
A new version.
A second chance to experience something I thought had happened for the last time.
My goal isn’t to create the perfect lifestyle website.
My goal is to build something real.
A place where people can laugh, learn, discover great products, find things to do around Philadelphia, get inspired to build something of their own, or simply realize they’re not the only ones whose life took an unexpected turn.
Some articles will be funny.
Some will be practical.
Some might make you think.
Others might help you decide which stroller to buy or where to take your family for a weekend adventure.
Every recommendation I make will be something I’d feel comfortable recommending to my own friends and family.
That’s important to me.
Trust is hard to earn and easy to lose.
